Well, Josie has her first major goose egg. She climbed up on the porch steps, and was just sitting there, proud of herself, but before I could get her down she, of course, fell down the steps. She got away pretty good, though, considering she fell down three concrete stairs! She seems to have recovered well, though, and is now (as you can see) stuffing her face with spaghetti.

Josie showed her first true sign of being attached to something yesterday. She has a little stuffed German Shepherd that her Grammy and Pappy got her. She calls him “Puh-puh.” Well, yesterday I had to wash puh-puh, and she caught me trying to put him the dryer. She captured him, and it took me a good 25 minutes to distract her enough so that I could recapture puh-puh and put him in the dryer-she did NOT want him to go in there! It was really cute and sweet.

Josie just finished her last bottle. She is growing up so fast. Her learning has been an explosion here lately-she can hold up one finger when you ask how old she is, she points to eyes, nose, head, mouth, and feet, she blows kisses, shrugs her shoulders and holds her hands up to say “I don’t know,” and the list could go on and on. It truly is amazing how fast they learn and grow at this age!

I’ve been making a lot of bows here lately-it is so much fun! Last night Mel and Nick came over, and we worked on making some bows while the boys played games. Mel made the turtle bow and the red polka-dot bow on the right side. The bows on the left are boutique bows-that’s the kind I had been making, but last night I figured out how to make pinwheel bows (the ones on the right) and I think I like them much better. So the pinwheel bow will probably be what I will make from now on-what do you think?

Yesterday, Josie and I went to Jake’s work to eat lunch with him. She decided his apple looked very tempting…
